Juicy Couture Eco-friendly Fashion Sunglasses- Choose Green

It is a lofty mission that we share to protect the environment we live in. The Juicy Couture brand, which is believed to be dedicated to be environmentally responsible, has a collection of eco-friendly sunglasses, called- Choose Green. It must be a major breakthrough in the field of fashion sunglasses that is worth learning from.

 

Juicy Couture has made a major step by utilizing renewable resources instead of non-renewable resources in its production of fashion sunglasses. Moreover, all sunglasses in the "Choose Green" collection are parceled in organic pouches that are all attached to informational "Choose Green" hangtags.

 

Before introduction of its "Choose Green" collection, there is one concept to be illustrated.  Juicy Couture uses "Green Plastic", rather than traditional plastics, for sunglasses frames. The difference between Green Plastic and traditional plastics is that the former is a bioplastic derived from oil contained in the beans of the castor plant while the latter is produced from petroleum relying on fossil fuel, limited resource. Thus, Choose Green collection utilizes 55% renewable plant-based plastic.

 

What is more, the temples of these fashion sunglasses are made from bamboo, another amazing renewable resource.

 

Ok, now let's have a look at those eco-friendly fashion sunglasses, which consist of three styles based on shapes- oval, rectangular and cat eye. All of them come in various colors ranging from tortoise to raspberry. A dominating feature is that the three styles get different styles of Juicy Couture logo on each temple.

 

Fern (curved square) tortoise

This pair of fashion sunglasses is designed in a rectangular shape, called Fern. Featuring a frame front and temples made from Green Plastic, Fern gets the Juicy Couture "Gothic" logo in bamboo on the left temple.

 

Peony (cat eye) black

It is called Peony, in a cat eye vintage style. The frame front of this pair of fashion sunglasses is made from Green Plastic and the bamboo temples are embellished with the Juicy Couture "stamp" logo.

 

Jasmine (oval) raspberry

The pink one is called Jasmine. The frame front and the temples are both made from Green Plastic. On the left temple, there is the Juicy Couture script logo in bamboo. Such a pair of fashion glasses produces an elegant style.

 

There is still a long way to go in the process of protecting our environment, but it is a common mission. Juicy Couture has been a good example for all brands of fashion sunglasses.

Tortoise questions! My first tortoise!!! plz help!!?

hello, I plan on purchasing two Russian tortoises and it will be my first tortoises. Should i get two males or two females? Do they HAVE to hibernate, because if they NEED to i am unaware of how to handle that? Any other tips on caring for tortoises is greatly appreciated! (I have a plastic bottom, cage top, unused rabbit cage that is 38in. long and 20in. wide for my two tortoises, is this an ok size? Anything i should put in their cage? thanks yahoo~

Hi! Just relax, Russian Tortoises are pretty easy to take care of! Firs, you're probably going to want to get a bigger enclosure if you are getting to tortoises, the general rule of thumb is a 4x2 foot enclosure (but you might want something a bit bigger, Audrey is in something that size and she get bored pretty often), the large plastic under bed storage containers work pretty well. Did you have any specific plans of what you were going to use for substrate? I use a 50/50 mix of reptile sand and coconut coir; you will want this deep enough that the tortoises could burrow completely under and be entirely out of sight. You can save some money by buying to coconut coir in blocks and making it yourself.

You will also need some kind of "hide" for your tortoises to burrow into or under, I just a have a lean-to made from a ceramic tile that Audrey burrows under as well as a hollowed log that she goes into pretty often. You will also want a shallow dish of water; the torts may never use it, but at least you'll know that they're not dehydrated.

You'll also need 2 kinds of lights, a UVB bulb (which will give off some heat) and a heating spot. For the UVB bulb I've heard that the T-REX bulbs are the best, but they are also about $30 more expensive than some of the others. I have a Zoo-Med Power Sun bulb that does the job pretty well and has a 2-year warranty on it, it cost about $80 but if it keeps Audrey happy, I'm happy! For the heating spot, you can just get one of those $20 clip lamps that you'd use for reading and put a house light bulb in, and then focus it over a nice rock that the torts could get onto.

Russian Torts eat a nice mix of greens which include collard greens, mustard greens, kale, romaine, Red and green leaf lettuce, Endive, Escarole, Radicchio, Chicory and turnip greens. You CAN feed them spinach, but only on occasion. There is a lot of oxalic acid in spinach, but it has a LOT of nutrients that are really great. You’ll want to make sure that your torts get enough calcium, it’s really simple to get a calcium spray to put on their food and then you don’t need to worry too much.

If you’re planning on buying baby tortoises (and I definitely recommend that you do, it’s fun to be able to watch them grow) it will be impossible to tell if you’re getting males or females, otherwise it doesn’t really matter which sex you decide on; but males do stay a bit smaller than females, if that figures into your plans.

Where are you getting your torts? I recommend NOT getting them at PetCo or other big box stores like that, they tend to be unhealthy and stressed. The bigger stores simply take the tortoises out of the wild and throw them into small cages and expect them to adjust well to life with humans. I hope there is a reputable reptile dealer somewhere near you, they often breed their own torts who are very well adjusted to life with humans and you can be certain of how old they are and all of those other things. Overall, I’m sure you’ll be very pleased having the little buggers around. After a while they might get used to your voice, at which point they will follow you around the house and do all of the crazy things that adorable Russian torts do.
