A couple of Q's about Vintage Dresses?

I really want a 50's swing dress for my end of school prom.
I'm really inspired by dresses like these:

I would like to ask a few questions!

-Will they suit someone with a small frame- average chest (bra size 30D) , small waist (25 in), average hips(29 in)- just to help you get the picture, I'm a UK size 8.
-Are there any shops in Nottingham I can buy, or will I have to go London?
-Shall I risk buying one online, hoping it will suit me?

The good thing about fifties styles is that they tend to flatter most figures. Curvy figures look amazing, skinny figures look curvy, you can't go wrong with a vintage dress.
I can't answer the second question as I'm in the US and have no idea.
Feel free to buy online as long as you know your exact measurements and the exact measurement of the dress. I have found that most sites are happy to email you the measurements if you send them an email requesting them. Just be sure to check out the return policy. I have found most places will let you return/exchange for a different size with little to no hassle.
