Sunglass fitting question?
I'm looking at the Oakley Straight Jacket sunglasses, there are two sizes, "normal" and Asian fit.
The normal ones slip down my nose very slightly below the bridge and the bottom parts of the frames touch my cheek when i smile but overall they seem ok. Not as bad as the others i've tried like the Ten's and Scalpel which are a lot bigger.
The Asian fit ones have thicker pads, they sit right at the bridge of my nose and the glasses do not drop down at all. The only problem is that the pads are hard and a little uncomfortable and the seem to push the glasses a little further out than with the normal pads. The brow part of the glasses has a bigger gap away from my face and the bottom parts of the sunglasses don't touch my cheek.
Which of the two would be better for long term use? If i go with the one with smaller pads, will i be able to add stick on pads over the rubber ones?
It seems like you're like me. I"m asian, but I also can wear the Euro fit glasses, as well.
I can't recall exactly at the moment, but I don't believe the straight jackets come with 2 sets of nose bombs (nose pieces) like the Flak Jackets, Radars, and X-Squared and Juliets do.
If you're able, I'd look at one of these models instead. They come with two different sets of nosepads to help customize the fit.
