Maui Jim Sunglasses- The Best Polarized Shades In Designer Sunglasses
When summer is at the peak and the fierce rays of the sun are burning brightly upon you, then eye protection is the first thing that comes to your mind. And when the sunglass pair that you have does not provide the necessary protection you know that it's time to purchase a new one. But, will any kind of sunglasses do? Well, if your foremost priority is to ensure good care for your eyes, then Maui Jim sunglasses is exactly the accessory that you are looking for.
Maui Jim sunglasses- a brief history
The Hawaii islands are subject to the most intense tropical sunrays which become almost brutal in summer rendering most Designer sunglasses ineffective. In the early 80's, a huge demand for special shades which would provide efficient protection against the summer sun gave rise to the Maui Jim sunglasses collection. The soaring popularity of the brand led to its distribution in the mainland and since then, it has become renowned for its top quality sunglasses.
Why should you go for Maui Jim sunglasses?
Being a global leader in sun protection technology, Maui Jim uses the most advanced technologies- the Polarized Plus and Polarized Plus 2 to provide effective protection against harmful UV rays and glares. There are mainly 3 types of glares which can cause serious damage to your eyes- reflected, direct and bounce-back. The bi-gradient mirror coating and anti-reflective coating on the polarized lenses diminishes these effects to a minimum.
An overview of optical technologies used in Maui Jim sunglasses
Polarized Plus technology- It constitutes of a multi-layered approach to sunglass construction and design to minimize glare. The lenses are of polycarbonate and coated with anti-reflective coating on the back and bi-gradient mirror on the front.
Collection lines: MJ Sports, Stainless Steel, Titanium Sport
Lens colors:Grey (12% transmission of visible light) Rose (15% transmission of visible light) Bronze (16% transmission of visible light)
Polarized Plus 2 technology- A multi-layered approach similar to the Polarized Plus technology is used. By using glass lenses which constitute of the 3 elements erbium, neodymium and praseodymium, color perception is enhanced and depth and contrast perception is also improved.
Collection lines: Classic and Flexon in standard glass Pure Titanium in superthin glass
Lens colors: Grey (8% transmission of visible light) Rose (10% transmission of visible light) Bronze (12% transmission of visible light)
To complement various face shapes of different personalities, one can choose from a wide variety of frames like Classic, Flexon, MJ Sport, Stainless Steel, Titanium ST and Titanium Sport. The price tag of Maui Jim sunglasses or Maui Jim Readers sunglasses (whichever you opt for) is on the higher side but this is not without good reason- these are, hands down, the best eyewear protection sunglasses. Manufactured from acetate, nylon and monel, the rugged and durable frames are available in glamorous styles. To ensure complete satisfaction, it's advisable you buy a pair online to avail of the discounts offered by various shopping portals.

AHH! Need help in graphic design - making things appear bronze, gold, and silver.?
I'm trying to use gradients right now, but I can't seem to make them look any good. Also, I can't really make them look 'shiny'.
Any solutions are welcome.
Thanks,
-David
